Being located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay wine country, Greenhill Lodge is most famous for hosting the royal after she visited Napier as part of her tour of New Zealand back in 1958. The Queen Mother was probably never greeted by alpacas grazing in the driveway of Greenhill Lodge, but this is the kind of royal greeting future guests can look forward too, a warm homely welcoming by home owners Charlotte and Steve Wilson.
Charlotte and Steve initially owned a farm in Central Hawke’s Bay, which they sold to buy a semi-rural property in Waipawa. “We never imagined buying Greenhill Lodge back in 2020.
